The Solution Innovation District (SID), represented by its CEO and Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation, Ms. Chinwe Okoli, joined the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, in receiving the leadership of Globacom Limited at the Government House, Awka, for high-level discussions on strategic digital transformation partnerships for Anambra State.

The engagement focused on opportunities for collaboration around digital infrastructure, connectivity, smart public systems, and technology-driven development as part of Anambra State’s broader vision of becoming a leading innovation and digital economy hub in Nigeria.

During the meeting, Mrs. Nnake highlighted the Soludo administration’s ongoing investments in urban renewal, digital governance, smart education, and healthcare innovation, including the establishment of smart schools and the rollout of telemedicine initiatives across the state.

Speaking from the innovation ecosystem perspective, Ms. Chinwe Okoli emphasized the importance of building not only digital infrastructure, but also the talent pipelines, innovation ecosystems, and institutional partnerships required to drive sustainable economic transformation and future job creation. She emphasized the potential impact of a deeper collaboration in the state's innovation agenda.

The discussions also explored opportunities around high-speed connectivity for government institutions, schools, hospitals, innovation hubs, and digital learning environments - all critical foundations for a thriving technology and innovation ecosystem.
