September 27, 2023, marked a phenomenal occasion as High Chief Dr. Christopher Ndubuisi (Ikenga Umuawulu) empowered the people of Obizi Communities - Umuawulu, Nibo, Nise, Mbaukwu, Isiagu, Ezinato all in Awka South LGA, Anambra State.
The philanthropist, renowned for his commitment to community development, empowered his people with the ICT tools required to thrive in the digital economy.
The occasion was graced by Ms. Chinwe Okoli, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Anambra State on Innovation and Business Incubation, who delivered an inspiring message to the beneficiaries. She emphasized the importance of upskilling in digital skills and urged them to maximize the potential of the laptops they received, emphasizing that the digital economy offers vast opportunities for economic empowerment. Ms. Okoli encouraged them to take advantage of the training programs offered by the Solution Innovation District, established by Mr. Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, which would prepare them through digital skills and expose them to vast opportunities in the digital economy.
Ms. Okoli also expressed her deep gratitude to High Chief Dr. Ndubuisi for his outstanding commitment to empowering humanity and supporting Mr. Governor's vision of transforming Anambra State into the digital and creative capital of Nigeria.
High Chief Dr. Ndubuisi, the host of the event, reiterated the significance of utilizing the ICT tools to empower themselves with digital skills, enabling remote work opportunities. He echoed the sentiment of the Special Adviser, emphasizing the importance of upskilling and encouraging the beneficiaries to participate actively in the Solution Innovation District's programs.
In a gracious display of generosity, Dr. Ikenga Umuawulu presented 80 laptops to the individual beneficiaries and also donated 20 desktop computers, 20 uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and 3 printers to the recently established John Angel School in Umuanwulu.
