A significant meeting took place today as Ms. Chinwe Okoli, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation, had a deep and insightful discussion today with the Speaker House of Assembly of Anambra State, Rt Hon Somtochukwu Udeze. They had an engaging discussion on the innovation agenda of Mr. Governor Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo in the state and its pivotal role in driving Anambra towards becoming a digital and creative capital within Nigeria and Africa.

Ms. Chinwe Okoli expounded on the significance of incorporating innovation into the fabric of Anambra's development. As the world hurtles forward in the digital era, she emphasized that innovation has become a global trend and is key to enhancing economic growth, sustainability, and prosperity.

During the engaging discussion, Ms. Okoli elucidated that innovative ideas are the bedrock for nurturing technology-enabled businesses. By encouraging a culture of innovation, Anambra can harness the collective ingenuity of its people to create transformative solutions, promote research commercialization, exponentially scale existing business ventures, and birth unicorns in the State.

Moreover, Ms. Okoli shared an exciting vision for Anambra, wherein the establishment of a "Solution Innovation District" is being explored. The proposed district aims to attract high-tech companies and organizations, infusing the state with cutting-edge technologies and expertise. She revealed that this initiative is part of Mr. Governor's vision to equip the people of Anambra with digital skills, laying the foundation for cultivating innovative ideas and turning them into viable commercial products and services. The focus on training and grooming startups and entrepreneurs will undoubtedly lead to a surge in economic activity and job creation.

Rt. Hon Somto, the Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, praised Mr Governor’s grand innovation vision, expressed enthusiastic support for Ms Okoli's work toward achieving Mr Governor’s future-thinking ideas, and emphasized the importance of fostering an innovation-driven ecosystem in the state and its potential impact.  He firmly pledged his commitment to work hand in hand with the Special Adviser to make Anambra a digital and creative capital of Nigeria, create a new Anambra, and put the state on the global map as a beacon of creativity and technological innovation from Nigeria.
