The Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation, Ms Chinwe Okoli Recieves Award of Excellence at the NAPSS 11th Annual Leadership Summit and Magazine Launch.

The National Association of Political Science Students (NAPSS) at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam Campus, successfully hosted the 11th Annual Leadership Summit and launched their magazine on June 21, 2024. The event centered on the theme "The Future of Work: Navigating Skills for an Automated World."


Ms. Chinwe Okoli, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation, delivered a keynote address on the summit's theme. In her speech, she emphasized the urgent need for students to upskill in response to the growing prevalence of automation and artificial intelligence in the workforce. Ms. Okoli highlighted that automation is driving an evolution in job markets, presenting both challenges and opportunities for future employment.


She further discussed the establishment of the Solution Innovation District by Governor Prof. Charles Soludo. This initiative is designed to leverage technology and foster skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Ms. Okoli encouraged students to expand their horizons beyond classroom teachings by acquiring skills in areas like data science, web development, data analysis, and software engineering. She urged them to network with like-minded individuals and continuously evolve with technological advancements.


The summit was well received by the students, who left feeling inspired to enhance their skills in order to keep pace with technological progress.


In a significant highlight of the event, Ms. Chinwe Okoli was inaugurated as the patron of NAPSS and was also presented with an "Award of Excellence" for her contributions to innovation and skill development. While accepting the award, Ms. Okoli reiterated the importance of technological skills, aligning with the agenda of Mr Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo CFR. through the Solution Innovation District. She resounded the district's commitment to training the youth and positioning Anambra as the largest digital hub in Africa. Ms. Okoli also pledged her unwavering support to the department and the university at large.


The NAPSS 11th Annual Leadership Summit and magazine launch marked a significant milestone for the association, inspiring students to embrace the future of work through continuous learning and skill development.
